We take each time to work with the calendar each day!
It is perfect for asking critical questions and developing time and sequencing.
I love the numbers available for each month.
They can be used for counting to 120 days or a calendar.
The vocabulary is ideal for posting and supports building vocabulary and writing.

The journal pages give students an opportunity for math review (this month problem solving) and comparing and contrasting.

Time and events are recorded as well as the weather and the temperature.

Let's Write December!

Want to see your class excited about writing?
Try this packet.
It includes lesson plans, literature suggestions, grammar (this month adjectives), a workbook for students, a journal for publishing.
December focuses on four styles of writing. (opinion, narrative, sequence, how to)
So simple. So easy. So much fun!
Adjectives focus on what kind, adding multiple adjectives using a comma, and adjectives that compare.
Each story includes a lesson on adjectives in hopes students will use them in their writing.

Each writing lesson provides lesson plans, a book suggestion, and three levels of idea gathering and writing to edit.

When the students have gathered ideas, prepared a "sloppy copy", and edited their work their is a Writing Journal for their final copy.
I like to use one lesson a week.
