Literary Companion for Room on the Broom...Reader's Theater, Craft and Activities!

Do you have room on the broom for ME?
This delightful story with it's repetitive pattern is ideal for the primary classroom.
Theactivities you find in the packet will be the perfect companions to embed curriculum standards into the lessons following reading the story.
There is an adorable witch for students to create and then hang in the classroom.
I like to follow the craft with the "character chat"!

Comprehension choices include a story element and a sensory theme.
For fun there is a little flip book for the class to make.
Each year for guided reading we do a Reader's Theater.
Have students highlight the character they are assigned.
There are also names and pictures to use for identification.
I like laminating the pictures and have students needing language support retell the story.

For the word work center there is a word sort, ABC Order and a Word Search.

Other activities include a data collection and a sequencing activity.
This little witch below is made by using pieces from the pattern of the full witch. (face, hair, hat, hands, vest, bow)  I just had the kiddos curl the hair on this witch.
Your class will be under your spell with this packet!
