Activities to Support Red Ribbon Week

YES I CAN JUST SAY NO AND I CAN LIKE ME!

YOU CAN SAY YES to this resource.
For the primary child the idea of red ribbon week and avoiding drugs and alcohol can be tough for them to understand BUT they can participate in identifying healthy choices that will help them make a better, kinder THEM!!
One of my favorite stories is:
I'm Gonna Like Me
Your students will LOVE it and it is the perfect lead into saying YES to healthy habits and saying NO to harmful habits.

This first resource is a set of Google Slides focusing on making healthy choices.
Slide One:  Focus on only taking medication when parents give it to you and choosing healthy habits.
Slide Two: Students click and drag to identify healthy habits.  Students click and drags way they respect others.
Slide Three:  Students read and complete the sentences using vocabulary such as habit, respect, choice, healthy, responsible.  Students click and drag to sort healthy/harmful.
Slide Four:  Students say YES to and say NO to.  Students share how they are special.

Red Ribbon Week is celebrated October 23rd to October 31st. It is a wonderful time to work on building character and positive habits. This resource focuses on both of those while embedding it into word work, writing, and recall. It ends with a cute craft.
