100 WAYS TO ENJOY THE 100TH DAY!

This is one of my favorite days of the year.
It is perfect for having fun in 100 ways by maintaining curriculum rigor.
Here is a list of my favorite read aloud for before and during the 100th day.
I also include comprehension activities for the stories:
100 Snowmen
Jake's 100th Day
100th Day Worries
The Night Before...
Here are two samples...

Math is perfect for this special day...
Money
Adding
Predicting

And yes there is lots and lots of writing...

Each year I divide the class into teams and we see who can make the most words.  Can they make 100?
I have a book the students can make at the end of the day or the next day sharing all the things they did.

To share with you what my class does I included a written description:
100 Day T Shirts...Students make shirts with 100 items on them.
We take pictures, write, and parade with our 100 Day hats!

We estimate and prepare a craft sharing happy about the 100th Day!
There is a letter for parents explaining AND reminders.

To build the excitement about this special day I keep a countdown on the door.
There is one for you in the packet.

And we can't forget activities related to 100 cents...
A game for partners...

and read the clue, color the number, what do you make?

The freebie which is also included in the packet is all about spinning for 100!
