February Literacy Packets

These packets were all prepared to enhance your Literacy Curriculum.  they were designed to meet strategies and standards in the Common Core.  They are perfect for using as model lessons, centers, or as a group experience.

February Writing focuses on George Washington and Abe Lincoln.
It includes page toppers that are perfect for enhancing and displaying student writing.
Patterns are included in the packet.  They are simple and easy to create.

The samples displayed here are for Abe Lincoln but the ones for George Washington are identical.  They include pages with two types of lines for your choice.  There are also pre writes and final pages.

This packet also includes a student checklist and ends with a compare and contrast activity.

These word searches have been a very popular product.  Not only do you get the activities for your class BUT it includes a calendar with popular February dates.  The word searches then relate to this date.

The Comprehension Strategy building program includes four popular February stories.  On is filled with Informational Text while the others focus on Literature.  They are perfect for teaching strategies using topics that relate to things taking place during the month.  Each story can be found on YouTube for reading if you cannot find them in the library.

Each strategy is written on a colorful card for posting in the classroom.

Suggestions are given on each story as to how to introduce the activities to your students.

The activities are easy to read and leave space for student responses.

It ends with an activity you can use for any piece of literature.

I love this story and could not resist a packet for the classroom.
The vocabulary cards are colorful and perfect for posting.
The activities focus on Comprehension Strategies but there is also a Data Collection activity.
And look at the adorable Froggy Craft!!

This packet is free until January 3rd for all of my followers.

Enjoy all!
