Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Dr. Seuss celebrates a birthday on March 2nd and many schools celebrate Read Across America and Right to Read.  This packet is perfect to meet the needs of these celebrations while enhancing your literacy curriculum.
The writing and page toppers are perfect.
I have included a pre write for gathering ideas and then a final write page for placing the page toppers on.  They will look adorable hanging in your classroom.

I also placed a mini book filled with informational text that can be copied for each student in the packet.  It is followed by a True/False assessment and two "reading for detail" activities.  These are perfect for encouraging the use of text to gather information.

The poem shared is a perfect Seuss creation.  It is followed by activities, a bookmark for each student, and a page for posting.

The word work section has rhyme, abc order, word search, making words, and vocabulary for posting.  They are perfect for posting in your literacy center under word work.

I am posting just a few of the comprehension pages that accompany a wide variety of Seuss stories.
They are simple and perfect for differentiation.  Write or Draw

The packet ends with a "hat day" for your class to celebrate.

Hope this has given you a better picture of what the packet includes.
If you already purchased this packet download it again for all the updates!!
And check out these goodies I found on Pinterest.

AND THE FREEBIE FOR YOU!
