How to Surprise a Dad!

This story is the perfect springboard to celebrating FATHER'S DAY!
Jean Reagan and Lee Wildish have created a delightful "how to" story that your class will enjoy and encourage them to think outside the box!!

The packet encourages reading the story to your class to begin the lesson.
From there two titled graphic organizers are available for you to choose from.
You can choose to have student recall story details or you can have students decide how they would surprise their dad!!
There are differentiated class final write pages and a class cover for creating a class book.


Writing includes opinion and narrative.

There are three comprehension pages that accompany the story.

Word work includes:
Vocabulary cards for posting, ABC Order, parts of speech, a word search and a partner role and read.

Finally there is an interview for your students to complete with dad and then a  page for recording what they discovered on their interview.
