Poems are one more way to support reading in the classroom.
For struggling readers the opportunity to hear rhyme can help them with reading text.
This packet has four poems for March.

There is a take home page for parents to see the poem for the week and a "cootie catcher" for comprehension fun with partners.
Each poem has a page for posting in the classroom a unique comprehension page and a unique word sort. (syllables, seasons, parts of speech, singular or plural)
There are also bookmarks for coloring and laminating or run on heavy paper as well as a read and sequence the text.
Great activities to enhance learning.
