Crazy Sock Day!

We love spirit days!
And here is a perfect way to celebrate Crazy Sock Day!
There are enough activities to fill a complete day with reading, writing, word work, and mathematics.
So send the invitation and ...
Let's Celebrate!

I am absolutely in love with these stories.
No better way to add adventure to Crazy Sock Day!

Smelly Socks by Robert Munsch will bring laughter to your classroom and a smile to your face.
Tina wants new socks and the process just to get the socks is a problem BUT that is nothing compared to the fact that Tina loves them sooooo much that she refuses to take them off BUT Tina's friends come to the rescue.
The illustrations are delightful and the ending leaves for prediction making.

Duck Sock Hop  by Jane Kohuth is another delightful rhyme story.
These ducks LOVE their socks that they pull from a big box.
The socks come in all sizes, colors, and designs which are perfectly described by the author.
This tongue twisting, sing song story will have your class wanting more and is ideal for coming up with ideas to create some fancy socks!

Where's My Sock by Joyce Dunbar is the perfect sock hunt. Pippin has lost his yellow sock with clocks.  Pippin and his friend Tog go on a giant sock hunt that leads to some exciting adventures.
Where in the world is that missing sock?
Your class will love guessing and following the path to discovery.

  1. What a fantastic way to celebrate Crazy Sock Day! These stories sound like a perfect addition to the festivities, adding laughter, creativity, and a sense of adventure to the day. It's wonderful to see how literature can make even the quirkiest of celebrations so much more fun and educational.
