It contains 4 themed lessons with a literature connection.

Students work through grammar skills relating to effective writing.

Differentiated pre writes support students in preparing their thoughts.

Spaces include room for pictures or writing to meet the many leveled writers in your class.

Next students prepare their "first write" "sloppy copy" or whatever you wish to call their first attempt at putting their thoughts together.

Editing, a piece often overlooked in classrooms, is also included.  Done weekly this will become an easier process for your primary student and will help them grow into effective writers.

Finally there is a journal for them to showcase their final writes for the week.

You can send them home or collect them throughout the year.

There is also a class cover so you can put a weekly class book out in your classroom for students to read others writing.
