A "MELON" ways to celebrate!



The craft includes ideas for end of the year or writing about watermelon.

And these cute little toppers can be used for treats.
On a stick with a cupcake or on a baggie filled with special treats.


Lots of word work with 12 colorful vocabulary cards for posting.
Making words, parts of speech, adjectives, syllables, word search

 
Informational text includes a single page and also a mini book.  Following the text is a "watermelon chat" for recording facts and a reading for detail that can be used for assessment.  Be sure text is used when answering the true/false.


And there are two exploration activities.

I love this adorable poem.  It is followed by a detail activity and data collection.

Writing includes informative and opinion as well as writing about data.

Two of my favorite stories are used for literature followed by fun filled recall activities.

It's Going to Be a Poppin' Good Day!

It is going to be a "poppin" good day if you plan these activities with your class!

The poem is "poppin" good and the vocabulary colorful for posting.
There are two cute crafts and the stories I use with the theme are ones I love as well as the students.


There is an informational text in the form of a single page and a mini book.
A graphic organizer is available for collecting facts.

Then pop some corn and collect data about favorite toppings.
Students can then do a "my opinion" writing piece, a sensory writing piece, and a 
how to"!  Plenty of writing practice.

Parts of speech have a practice page and pieces for a center.
Copy, laminate and cut.

These are for crafts.  You saw the color pages above and here are black and white pages for coloring.
There is a class book cover for making a class book as well as writing pages for final pages.

For the math center there is a math bingo game.

A class of "Happy Campers"!

There is a mini book talking about the history of camp and camping activities.
There are also colorful vocabulary cards for posting with pictures.

Vocabulary includes:  word search, making words, ABC order, and parts of speech.

The data collection sheets are so much fun for the class as they pole their peers.
What is your favorite activities to do while camping?
Have you ever been camping?

There are cute pictures for kiddos to create a going camping booklet writing sentences.
I love the "scary" story they write using vocabulary and students read sentences for asking or telling.

There are 4 differentiated activities for writing a "how to" for s'mores.

Also included are graphic organizers, sensory writing, a little to parents explaining the camp day.

Math includes addition to 10 and 20 and doubles.

Friendship Day!

Friends...special people!
This packet is all about building and growing an appreciation for our friends.

These cuties are perfect for posting about friends.
And below see a friendship hug for the bulletin board.

There are also literature suggestions for reading and graphic organizers that focus on recall.
There are two posters for talking about your friends and a FIND A FRIEND activity.

Activities are included so that students can interview each other and make comparisons.
It helps to develop an appreciation for each other.

There is a making words with friendship, planning the perfect day with a friend and a making predictions sheet with friends.

The packet also includes a mini book about avoiding bullies and how to be a friend not a bully.
Not shown are writing pages as well as a send home note for a "friendship" snack.




Bubbles!

Children and adults alike have a fascination with bubbles!
Bubble bath, bubble gum, scrubbing bubbles, blowing bubbles... 
Enjoy a bubble day with your class.
It could be an end of the year day, a reward day, or a day of exploration!

Step one is to purchase a bubble bottle for each child.
I like to have them on their desk as they arrive in the morning.
A little ribbon and the label make them colorful.

Vocabulary is included and ready for posting.
