October is Fire Safety month.
This packet is filled with informational text, literature suggestions, writing, word work and more.
These are some of my favorite literature suggestions for Fire Safety.
The site has interactive games, facts and an area to ask questions as well as printable for the classroom.
Look at this cute little craft and writing pages for posting.
Above you will see a poem about Fire Safety.
Use this for student activities about Be Safe, Be Prepared.
There are three forms of informational text leveled for reading.
I love using the mini book for a guided reading lesson. Students can highlight key vocabulary and important facts in the text. The booklets can then be read and reread as well as used for recall.
Above you will see a True/False, a reading for detail and a safety sort.
I encourage students to use the text while completing these.
Writing includes informational text and imagine if.
There are also final write pages for showcasing students work or making a class book.
My favorite read aloud is No Dragons for Tea!
There are two followup activities for after reading.
Another is Stop Drop and Roll!
Again there are activities to accompany an post reading activity.
There are 16 vocabulary cards for posting.
Word work includes ABC Order, Making Words, Spinning Words, and Word Search.
There are three math games included for your math center.
Many activities to make Fire Safety month an informative one.
