Native Americans

In so many ways we are alike yet different.
Their lives were affected by their location and the climate.
This resource is filled with informational text that will engage students in learning about three areas of settlement and three specific tribes.
The one you see here is the Woodland/Iroquois group.
There is also:  Plains/Sioux   Southwest/Pueblo
Slide One:  Shares location and students compare where they live in the USA.
Slide Two:  Shares the types of homes the Iroquois lived in and have students compare to the type of home they live in.
Slide Three:  Shares how they survived hunting and fishing and then has the students add details to the graphic organizer about hunting and their homes.
Slide Four:  Shares the clothing of this group.  Students label the names for the articles of clothing.
Slide Five:  Shares information about how they traveled and students then use a graphic organizer to review information about this group.
Each interactive slide show is similar yet designed to individually introduce the students to the three tribes  using a variety of interactive activities.
