For many of us when we think of insects we think...

icky, scratchy, noisy, annoying BUGS!

The packet begins with colorful vocabulary for posting and a diagram of the parts of an insect.

Students will make tiny insects using the three body parts and adding antennae, legs and wings.

There are many pages focused on KWL and also student opinion before they take a close look at the information on insects provide in the packet.

Informational text on insects in plentiful and comes in three forms.

Graphic organizers are available for collecting facts and details.

Activities focus on building understanding of vocabulary.

Students will also look at two insects and compare and contrast.

After a basic understanding of what insects are has been developed 4 insects are looked at closely.
