How to Read to Grandma and Grandpa!

Jean Reagan and Lee Wildish have created another wonderful "how to" story.
This one:  How to Read to a Grandma or Grandpa!
These "how to" stories allow for student connections to the text and are ideal for writing.
This story is no exception and will bring smiles and giggles to the faces of the students in your class.
In the story one of the choices is reading in a variety of voices.
The first activity has students roll the die with a partner and read each word in a variety of voices. There are also two math games for partners.
Other activities include:
Comprehension...cause and effect, would you rather, story recall.
Word Work...ABC Order, Parts of Speech, Making Words
Writing...Opinion, How to read to Grandma and Grandpa, Sequence along with a graphic organizer for students to organize thoughts and final write pages for showcasing student work.
There is also an activity for students to prepare a "selfie" of them reading to grandma or grandpa.
