If You Give A Dog a Donut

This dog has so many wonderful adventures after sharing a donut with his friend.
The sequencing theme of the story is beneficial in working with students on recall and order of events.  Scroll down to find the activities available in this packet.

Vocabulary is colorful and ideal for retelling and sequencing in a center.
It also works well in the writing or word work center.
Word work includes making words, abc order, compound words and a word search.
I like placing the book with the vocabulary.

And look at these cute crafts.
The page topper is ideal for showcasing student writing.

The comprehension activities include recall, story elements, cause and effect and sensory.

Graphic organizers as well as pictures are ideal for retelling the story and putting the items in order that they happen.

I love that you give a student a donut.
What will happen?
We made our own donuts using canned biscuits in the refrigerator section and an electric frying pan.
We heated oil in the frying pan.  Poked a hole in the biscuit, and dropped it in.
Cook, flip, and lay on paper towel to soak up oil.
In paper bags have powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar.
FROST if like.
Mmmmmm!

After eating their yummy donuts they can create a graph after collecting data from their friends.
Writing includes narrative, how to and sequential.

There are also two math games for partners to work with addition and subtraction.
