Let's Celebrate...

The Earth is our home so let's celebrate with these Interactive Google Slides.

These are ideal for classroom computers or distance learning.

I like to use mine on the SMART board as well.

Slide One:  Informational text on Earth Day.  Students use text to recall facts.

Slide Two:  What can we do?  Informational text followed by student responses.

Slide Three:  Friend or Enemy sort using click and drag.

Slide Four:  Let's make words using the letters from Earth Day.

Slide Five:  Making 15!  (a little math challenge)

The packet has a poem for kiddos to identify key words and read.
The poem is followed by an activity to reinforce key themes...reduce, recycle, reuse.
Next enjoy a class project by encouraging everyone to pack a "trash free" lunch.
It includes a note to parents and a follow up activity for the class to complete.
This is perfect for "teaching using real life experiences"...YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
On April 22nd we celebrate our Earth and ways to protect the planet we live on.
Enjoy this game with your class as a way of identifying ways we can protect our planet Earth!
