Informational Text to Read and Write...Autumn, September 23rd

Autumn is soon arriving and there is so much for youth to learn during this time.
Key vocabulary, facts about seasons, why leaves change color and more.
This packet is filled with informational text and activities to use for reading, writing and answer questions.
Below you see the colorful vocabulary words there are with pictures.
They are ideal for posting in your writing center or literacy center.
I like to put them in a small word holder and put them near the literature for reading.
And the cute broom craft is ideal for decorating your classroom.
The informational text is in a mini book form.
Have students highlight the key vocabulary and as you read highlight key facts.
Then you can read and reread as well as use the book to compose writing and answer key questions about the information they read.
Below the graphic organizers are ideal for supporting the students as they write paragraphs.
Final write pages are provided in 3 differentiated forms for final writes.

I have so many favorite literature stories for this time of the year.
You see three here along with activities that support comprehension.

Word work activities are provided for vocabulary development.
Above see the cute poem for students to read.  This is accompanied by a comprehension page.
There is also a book about the seasons of the Apple Tree.
The TRUE/FALSE can be used for assessment of comprehension.

There is a data collection page embedding math into this theme.
