Last year I created this program Animals A to Z to meet the needs of the primary child and their study of animals. It is filled with reading (informational text), writing and word work.
In creating it I covered as many groups of animals as I could.
In using it I discovered I wanted to add LIFE CYCLE pages for each animal and interactive Google slides to accompany the paper pencil pages.
I am beginning by teaming up paper pencil activities with interactive Google slides for each animal to meet the needs of technology as well as paper pencil activities in the classroom.
Once finished the resource will be available ...
Interactive Google Slides for Animals A to Z (In the process of completing.)
and individual teams.
Take a peek at the slides and the activities below.
Slide One: Real life photo of Alligator.
Slide Two: Informational Text...Alligator...Informative writing using text.
Slide Three: Informational Text...Life Cycle...Click and drag life cycle pictures, Sequence writing using pictures and text.
Slide Four: Making Words using letters from Alligators...Click and drag to build word. Type words made.
Slide Five: Poster on Alligator...Characteristics, Diet, Habitat
Paper pencil activités are similar to theme in Google slides with paper for final writing drafts and graphic organizers included as well as vocabulary.
